Shipping & Delivery


If you place your order before 12:00 PM (PST), we will try to send it out the same day. If you need it to go out on a particular day, please call us so we can make sure it arrives on time.

Drop-shipments usually ship the same or the next day.

You will receive an email confirmation after you place your order. If you do not receive an email confirmation, either you entered the wrong email address or the order did not go through.

You will receive an email with tracking information within 72 hours after the order ships.

Sometimes when we order something, it might be back-ordered, discontinued, or there might be some other unforeseen reason why we can't get it for you. If this happens, we're sorry for disappointing you. We'll contact you by email or phone within 2-3 business days to let you know what's happening.

Orders on holidays or weekends are processed the next business day. If your order has items from different companies, you might receive separate shipments and the shipping times might vary.

We will always try to ship orders as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee an exact shipping date.


If you need to return a product, don't hesitate to contact us at support@americanelectric. To process your return, we will need the following information from you:

  • Your Full Name & Telephone Number
  • The Online Order Number
  • The Item Ordered (Manufacturer + Model Number)
  • A Brief Description of the Problem

If you want to return an item that you bought from us, you have to do it within 30 days of the purchase date. You must also send us tracking information by the 30th day after the purchase date (11:59 PM/PST). If you don't do this, we won't take back the item. We don't make any exceptions.

If you want to return something, make sure it is in new condition and the original packaging. You will also need to pay for shipping and a 30% restocking fee. If the product needs reconditioning and is determined to be used or opened, service charges may apply, and a refund may not be given.


You have ten days to return a product if it is defective. If the product is found to be working, you will not receive credit. If the product is faulty and covered by a manufacturer's warranty, please go through the manufacturer for a replacement.


If you want to cancel an order for any reason, you need to do it by calling or emailing us. We will not cancel your order unless we get a confirmation from a customer service representative.

If the order you called in to cancel has already shipped and you refuse the package, it's as if you made a return. So standard restocking fees will apply.


We only accept claims for shortages, damages, and incorrectly-shipped items for 5 business days after receiving your package. We hope you will check your box as soon as you get it. Any claims received after 5 business days from receiving the package will not be considered; there are no exceptions.


If you are not happy with your purchase, you can return it and get a refund. However, there is a 30% restocking fee. Please read the Return Policy for more information.
