5″ GU24 Compact Fluorescent IC Airtight housings offers affordable solutions for energy savings in insulated ceiling environments. NO ballast are required for GU24 lamps, as the ballast is incorporated into the lamp itself, which means the end user can select the wattage by simply changing the lamps. Rated for direct contact with thermal insulation and meets air tight (AT) standards. IC housings offer trouble free installation and accept a wide variety of attractive finishing trims suitable for any interior.

Plaster Frame: High quality 0.040 steel die cut one piece frame.
Housing: 0.040 aluminum housing with riveted cap adjusts to adjust from 5/8" to a maximum ceiling thickness of 1-5/8". Spring brackets accept torsion wing trim springs.
Air Flow Restriction: Housing has factory installed gaskets to restrict airflow from room into ceiling plenum to <2CFM (cubic feet per minute) in accordance with ASTM-283 Air-Tight requirements.
Socket: Floating twist & lock GU24 convertible socket that can be converted from fixed to floating without tools.
Bar Hangers: Two 13-3/4" to 24-1/2" adjustable bar hangers with captive nails are included on frame. Bar hangers are parallel to junction box
